The procedure you just mentioned is perfectly alright I do it the same way. Sometimes it may take some time. You can repeat the same thing once and see if it works.

If you followed the procedure, it's easy will work just fine. Maybe you forget something or the code you have to install has some error, double check everything.

I also encountered the same problem
What i did, i put the code after <body> , not before the </body>
