Hi Everyone

This is my first time

I have recently finished using an optimisation company ( it was very expensive ) I only know the basics when it comes to website so please take it easy on me.

The trouble is we have started loosing positions on some of our search terms and need a bit of advice on simple things I could implement to improve my positions.

We are independent fashion designers so we need to increase our presence in quite a competative area i.e handbags, womens clothes etc

Is the optimization company on retainer, or was it a thing where you paid them once to get you to the top and then their job was done?

The thing is keeping your ranking on google is a full time job and requires daily work. A 1 time blitz to get a lot of links may work for a few months or years, but you will slowly loose ranking as time goes by (through attrition or by competitors beating you out).

Hi, the firm I used had a scheme were I did not pay a penny until they acheived page 1 for my search term ( handbags ).
When they acheived page 1 I was tied into a 6 month contract which required a 3 month notice before leaving at the end of 6 months ( hope that made sense )
A good business practise in my opinion is always give the required 3 months notice 3 months before end of contract. When i gave my notice they phoned me and was quite abrupt and direct and explained if i was going to leave at the end of my contract they would terminate it now.
They have now terminated my contract and started removing all my links

It's ok, continue promote your site.

I recommend a continues optimization of your site because rankings is not easy to target specially competitive keywords it will take a month. Try also to use social sites for additional traffic and sales.

just continue link build your site, maintain quality content and submit it to different quality sites.

Get links that are related to your niche. Gather massive links whether it has no follow or do follow attributes.

by the looks of it they had a high pr linking to you and now its gone, you could do with another one, Pm me if you want help.

My advice is concentrate work in Off Page optimization it's better way for you.

Ok you can continue off-page optimization, that is most effective your results.

I would personally be asking why very basic on page optimisation hasn't been done!!!

There are problems with your head meta tags, also on page content.

It appears they have relied solely upon pr linking within their own network to obtain a good rank in google. Many companies do this, it is more timely and easier for them.

Unfortunately, the optimisation is solely reliant on off page tactics...which is basically the linking structure. They do this so you don't leave them and they earn a continual income from you/their customers.

I'm afraid you have been cheated a little, there is some work needed on page before you will see a consistent ranking. The lost links pr will need to be subsidized also to give your site a higher pr.
