Anyone think adwords helps your ranking google?

I was thinking the adwords that shows on other sites might help your ranking some from the increased link popularity.

Also if you are going to notice, those links is not linked directly to the site of advertiser.

Some people have said it does, but it seems to go against the whole concept of Google's PageRank. If Google was to help people who buy links from them, it would be very hypocritical, since they are normally against people buying links and getting PR from it.

Two technical factors should prevent AdWords links being counted as real links. In the first place the whole adword is JavaScript written in a separated file. In the other hand, as VladTepes already said, the links go to "
http://googleads.g.doubleclick.net/pagead/iclk...".

It deffintelly helps. How? It brings more visitors to your website and Google see the number of visitors and page impression. If it is low google won't index your site that often

Those links from adwords are actually a redirection, not counted as Backlinks.

You can increase your traffic through google adwords but not your page ranking, also there are payments with these kinds of services.

I have been using Adwords for almost 2 years now with quite a bit of a monthly budget for targeting local traffic and I have not increased in SERP at all for any of the keywords. I think it should help a little but it dosen't.

Going on this kind of strategy should require a lot of keyword research in order to convert and of course a budget.

adwords is simply an ad of google on your site. the more number of ppl click on it, the more money gogle pays you. simple.

they are not direct links to your site. these links are not considered as backlinks.
