Top Three Ranking is more effective than Top Ten Ranking in Google as Top Three Ranking ranked websites receive more traffic than Top Ten Ranked websites.

That's stating the obvious However, I have seen rank 8-10 receive more traffic than 4-7 if they are using decent titles.

Genius. Now look for how many average percentage of click on each ranking.

There is a big difference in traffic if you rank in top 3 than you rank 4 in search result. So always aim for the top 3.

I agree with you.. There are sites which are in the top five rankings but don't have decent titles. Stuffed keywords I guess. But there are sites which are on the top 6 above and are more popular because of having interesting titles..

A good title always works and that is the reason why top 5 sites don't have sometimes good traffic instead of they should have.

You also need to think about how much extra energy and effort you will expend for getting the keyword up there versus how much it will bring you back. If it's a really long-tail keyword, like say "all inclusive dubai vacation", you may not want to even waste your energy moving it up to top 3. However, short-tail keywords like "dubai" tend to have more competition. SEO is like engineering.. you want to do a cost/benefit analysis.

Getting the number three spot is more visible and likely clickable for a user..

Yeah, being top 3 in serp ranking is a great advantage compare to top 10 ranking. Obviously, your site will get noticed first as it is placed on top while top 10 in on bottom. But there are also some cases that top 10 ranking site got more visitor than in top 3 but those are rare case.

If u r talking about SERP ...Its quit natural.. always top ranked site get more traffic than low ranked site ......what is new in it..

Yes, i agree with you, top 3 ranking is gain more traffic compare to top 4 to 10 rankings.

True, i believe there was a great write up on this at SEOMOZ.com

It showed numerically how much traffic to your site would decrease according to your rankin within the top 10 pages.

With the first 3 getting massive CTR while the other 7 would have their CTR drop exponentially as they went downwards

Staying in the second page of Google results is of no use. Always aim at higher to get noticed. As you said Top 3 is really good than being in Top 10.
