Hi,
I have a site
http://www.nhs247.com/
Site have #3 ranking in google for keyword NHS STAFF DISCOUNTS
but in google.co.uk is #8
Your suggestion needed

Hm... I only know it the other way around.
I don't know if the location or domain name of your backlinks count?

For getting your site improved in .uk you need to gain .uk backlinks.

mean back links from .uk sites... really m doubted on it.. also each datacenter updation is in diff period, so this is normal and also m not sute about .com will give good position, so what about .info, .net etc...

Google have Different Rules For different Regions If you want to get on top on google.uk.co You have to optimized your Site With uk key words , like.. uk dresses or dresses in uk ...

Agree, if you want your site to be successful in certain region, then do optimization for that region focusing on the key words and the content by itself.

I suggest that you use the keyword on promotion a lot targeting your target areas on UK that will help in boosting your ranking if you are going for geo-targetting.

If your site's server hosted in US, than it is more valuable to US domain. Google.com is US based while Google.co.uk id UK based.
