Subject relative content, Meta Tags, Heading Tags, Alt Tags, proper User friendly link Navigation, CSS validated, Html validated, relative reciprocal Link, Sitemap, Sitemap Submission to Google, high Pr directory submission, and then SEM

Well, I'm not a fan of PR because it will not give my site more traffic and sales.

Mostly on backlinks. If you have backlinks from those higher PR sites, your site's PR is likely to increase.

PR alone will not give your site more traffic and sales. However through creating high quality backlinks to your site you will go up in organic SERP and thus receive more traffic and hopefully sales.

Quality and relevancy of your inbound links. 
But don't rely much on PR. PR these days, isn't that very important anymore.

Even though PR is not that important somehow it has still uses in SERP. Though it doesn't play a major factor in order to rank on G, but G sometimes look for other factors when two sites came up with the same relevancy being considered..and it do based on PR on how to rank them both.zeruel wrote:Quality and relevancy of your inbound links.

having links from high pr sites which are related to ur niche and is several years old too .. it can bring ur site good ranking in google and good PR as well
