You can make more money through Adsense through few simple steps,

These steps are not only help you to promote your earnings, these are lot of other factors too through which you can boost your earning, its basically very helpful for begineers to Professional.

--> Your top most banner ads should be image
--> Use same Color for ads and background of your website.
--> Post ads at top of your website rather then middle or bottom
--> Use Google Adsense Code Search Engine at the bottom of website using with this heading
"SEARCH MORE RELATED TO THIS PAGE"
use these words or similar which attract people if they not satisfy with your page and can be ready to search through your search engine.

These are few simple tips can bring more earnings for you. It’s my personal experience.

i agree with image ads on the header but with that no way

No... It will look like a part of the website. And, visitors will find it more natural.

Is it allowed in google adsense..I do not think it is allowed.

You can't say it is natural if it is not clearly visible and seems hiding. Please don't out think Google didn't know this, of course they know, even every most trick there to make short cuts or something. Hope we don't encourage bad practice.
