Quality link building is definitely the preferred approach due to the time constraints . Its important to note:
Anchor Text, A link with optimized anchor text is more valuable than a generic link and also how relevant is the link!

"Quality" is the operative term in SEO. There are many methods that you can do, but make sure you do it properly. Link only to quality and relevant sites.

I have a problem with that. It seems that those blogs and forums with high page ranks also do not approve your comments, no matter how relevant it is! Is there a way to get around this?

This is one of the things that I've learned first. And it still holds true now. Anchor text is really important guys, make sure that you anchor your link to your desired keyword.

True true... How do you find quality sites though, that is the problem. Short of visitng every site that goes out in the search page?

Link Building is always beneficial for search engine rankings and traffic to your website from similar websites. It gets good results if its done in a professional manner with good quality websites.

Quality should be the first thing to consider over Quantity. Many people just don't want quality but rather the quantity of the work they are doing.

Also take special care on the use of anchor text. That's the integral part of any link building campaign.

What do you think about web2.0 sites like hubpages, squidoo, etc... ? I think those sites are also great resources to get some quality backlinks and to generate good traffic as well.

i think as long as the site where you put your link was relevant, high PR then you may call it a quality backlink to you

i dont think quality link building will work - quality link building work to lead little traffic from other website. i think built link building to get high ranking in SE
