hi everyone my site is up for 7 months and now i want to change the title, is it safe? will google punish me?

-before change: emc focus on bluetooth,bluetooth hack,wifi,mobile anti-virus and security.
-after change: emc focus on bluetooth,wifi,gps mobile phone tracking and security.

i know i posted this question on another forum, but i'd like to hear your advice.

yes... there's no penalty there.. but when you change your title... don't be surprise if google shows the old title when you check your ranking.. because, when you change something on your site... to need to give time to SE's to crawl your updated site

just though id add that the title is probably the most important thing so make sure you nail it!

its a big gumble!if you are in good position don't change it if you really need to change it make sure it won't affect the ranking.

Not really... Google doesn't punish you and in fact if you put the right title you can be placed higher. Its a part of normal activity so don't be upset.

And for your SERPs, dont worry if you optimize your keywords well you can be at number 1. So continue working hard and you will regain all you lost due to this change.

It's okay, but expect a sudden change in your ranking. Revising title tags, depending on the target keywords, can either be bad or be beneficial to your SERP.

I usually change my title tag when i want a certain keyword to get listed on google. And if achieved the rankings for that keyword then i will look for another keywords that need to be prioritize.

If it's not efficient you obviously should change it and it won't be punished by Google//// But if it works I do not see the reasons

i have changed my blog title 3 times, it will take time for cache new info, but no panelty for new title

you can change your website title as many times as you want, but keep one title alwasy fixed, that will benefitial for you.

Well its ok if you want to change your title ... but i'm sure you'll loose some SERP Ranking of you'r site , if you are going to change complete words in title

It's ok to change your title but be sure it's related to page optimization. You don't want to change your titles if it won't help in your Google and other SE result pages.

I've tried that before but only to include some targeted keywords.

I think Google bots index pages every week on the average, based on my observation.

Yes, there is no penalty in changing website title but there will be some changes in your SERPs after crawling.
