A question to all webmasters... Please state the best activity to rank your site high at GOOGLE... What do you guys think.. is it:
Unique Content, Making keyword rich META tags, Anchor Text on page, Backlinks, Article submission, Blog Posting, RSS
and if u thick that all of them matter.. please state the best technique among all

Forum posting works well with me. But never spam the forums or you will get hurt definitely.

Forums, Social Networks, and Blog Comments are some best activities to get on top through good backlinks and traffic.

It's a combination of different techniques - both onpage and offpage optimization. Quality of content and backlinks matters a lot in order to achieve high Google ranking.

Considering these factors really helps:
1. CONTENT - content is king right?
2. On-Page Optimization - it deals with the proper use of keywords, title tags, meta tags, description and alt-tags (use when describing images)..
3. Off-Page Optimization - It deals with building links. It is responsible for getting back links.

Forum submission helps me in gaining my backlinks. But of course I'm following the rules in forums. I'm participating by sharing my knowledge. Building my links with my target keyword really helps me to rank in Google.

getting backlinks from relevant industry sites(but not on links page) works the best for me but is also the hardest

I think best works out Social bookmarking, Forums and link wheeling. It can qualify your site to SERP very quickly.

how does social bookmarking work? you add a bookmark link on your site and when someone bookmarks you in delicious or whatever and you receive a way one backlink, is that the jist?
