Some important points that you have to consider-

1. Minimise HTTP Requests

As per Yahoo, 80% of a Web page's heap time is spent downloading the diverse pieces-parts of the page: pictures, templates, scripts, Flash, and so on. A HTTP ask for is made for every one of these components, so the more on-page segments, the more it takes for the page to render.

2. Empower pressure

Vast pages (which is the thing that you could have in case you're making top notch substance) are regularly 100kb and that's only the tip of the iceberg. Accordingly, they're cumbersome and ease back to download. The most ideal approach to speed their heap time is to compress them—a procedure called pressure.

Pressure diminishes the data transfer capacity of your pages, in this way decreasing HTTP reaction. You do this with a device called Gzip.

3. Minify Resources; Since each pointless bit of code adds to the span of your page, it's essential that you dispense with additional spaces, line breaks, and space in your code so your pages are as incline as could be expected under the circumstances.

4. Upgrade pictures;

With pictures, you have to concentrate on three things: size, organise and the src trait.

Picture estimate

Larger than usual pictures take more time to load, so it's critical that you keep your pictures as little as would be prudent.

Picture arrange

JPEG is your best alternative.

PNG is additionally great, however more established programs may not completely bolster it.

GIFs ought to just be utilised for little or straightforward illustrations.

6. Advance CSS Delivery;

CSS holds the style necessities for your page. For the most part, your site gets to this data in one of two routes: in an outer record, which stacks before your page renders, and inline, which is embedded in the HTML archive itself.

There are some great resources for analyzing your site’s speed. Google’s PageSpeed Insights, Website Grader, and GTMetrix are the most popular. Both services will analyze your site and tell you where you’re falling behind

There's more than 3 ways to speed up a website. I'll respect that. To add to the suggestions above.
1.- use cache to deliver a cached page to your users.
2.- use a server which response fast to request.
3.- compress your pages with gzip.
