Almost those directory are dead which Google announced they are doing spamming still some directories are work like yelp, CrunchBase.

No. Getting backlinks from high PR relevant directories is good.

Directories still impact map pack results. Use high authority relevant directories.
A good scan to use for the uk is yell connect scan.
Map Pack does attract a lot of traffic.

not all the directories are dead you can get backlinks from high PR directories like crunchbase.

They still have some benefit. Directories having High DA will surely help in increasing our own DA.

Nope, There are some directories which are still working fine and as a top directory you can consider Yelp as an example.
