Anyone doing Image Optimzation?

I used to optimize my images for Google and found that around 1 3rd of my traffic came from Google Images. It can be very useful for sites that offer stock images or Art for sale or anything that needs to generate income or visitors from this niche.

Does this apply to Flash sites too?My other site is a flash but it got tons of images on the homepage.

Alternative image text (alt text) is important. For increased optimization, make sure photos are properly described with alternative text tags.

I know that image optimization is worth doing but can anyone give some practical tips. I know only one - add text to the image but what kind of text? Explaining what is there in the image?

Doing Image optimization is no big deal just ensure to name your images by using the alt="" attribute for it and that's all for me.
