Actually optimization take time and it is a continues process build link and Google will cache your site.

If you have done SEO and still your website didn't recognized by Google you can try to use this
http://pingler.com/ . It is one way of letting the search engine spiders know that you are out there. I hope it might help.
Or else maybe you have done wrong with your SEO.

Search site:
www.yourdomain.com in Google, see whether your home page comes in the result. If so its cached and indexed. Also check, cache:
www.yourdomain.com (i.e, homepage address) to know when the page has been cached. Replace the yourdomain.com with your domain address.
site: is used for finding all the pages indexed
cache: is used for knowing when the particular URL was cached.

flinge is talking about site not being ranked and not site not being indexed by google.
If your site is not doin well in the Google SERps then it might be that you are in a too competitive niche or you aren't working enough flinge.
Keep building backlinks towards it and ensure that the contents on the sites page(s) are well SE optimized.
