I assume its a good thing when the googlebot visits your site, its been to mine 7 times now in under 2 weeks, the site hasn't beed updated since it was first loaded (I plan to update it every week just not had the time)

I used the submit express site to check my meta tags and the results were bad I read that meta tags are not used any more, is this correct or should I sort this out ASAP

I did read in another post (on this site) about buying links and I did buy some, could that be the reason why the googlebot keeps visiting me, however when I search google for my site its not there - but google knows its there as the googlebot come's for tea along with the msnbot

If Google is visiting your site, it will probably be indexed soon...as far as Meta Tags go, Google really doesn't use them, but I think MSN and Yahoo do...they won't hurt you if they're there...but they can help with some of the smaller search engines...

If submit express says they're bad, it would only help to fix them.

Well I think google visits your site but still not indexing the pages
Or since you didn't add or change in your website pages, google didn't recognize it
So each time you have more pages in your website, your will have the chance to increase website PR
