It think I have been devoting way too much time to having links show on google. Using the keys words that I want in content has made the best improvement in my search results. I am indexed in google without a site map so the only page listed is my main page. This doesn't seem to be a big problem because the other pages are showing up in search purely on content. Posting articles in revalent forums tends increase hits, but without fresh posts that are interesting, hits drop back to the loyal few.

At this point, I'm considering the pay for pr sites. I've tried a few free pr's and they are getting views but no one is taking the time to search my site. With the paid PR's you can list your url. Can any one give me an idea of the hits the url's in paid pr generate?

I'm not sure I know what you're asking. Pages that are not in the index will not show up in the search listings. Google will usually index your home page first...then over time, will index more of your site.

It sounds like you want to buy links from relevant, high page ranked sites. That is fine...but there has been some discussions that I have read, that Google does not like paid links...It could cost a lot too.

Sorry,press releases not page rank. There a lot of sites that will let you generate your own press releases to draw traffic. To list your URL, all of them want money. I just don't know if it's worth it. I have submitted a few free press releases, but no hits.

The statement about wasting time was related to link popularity. Your site has close to 5000 inbound links 2800 on MSN and 16 on google were listed. I just started building links and was frustrated than none showed on google. As for searches, if someone can remember my name, capt. dallas, or captain dallas is first page every time. This led me to believe that google base and google forums are a waste of time for building links.

If it wasn't a waste of time I could upload a few thousand pictures into google base and have links out the butt. So I am trying where best spend my time and money.

Yeah, I know that Google just does not show many of my inbound links...If I type ::www.my-pillow-place.com it seems to show more links that google counts...but a lot of them are repeats, such as forum posts...
