Is their any sites on google that offer link exchange for free ? How does LE work ?

There are several free link directories...I subscribe to 3...LinkMarket, LinkMetro and Link Partners...

I would rate the from best to worst, LinkMarket, Link Partners and then LinkMetro. Link Metro is rated last because I keep having problems with their website shutting down on me while trying to complete exchanges.

It could be just my computer.

Each website works differently, but the basic idea is that you intiate a link exchange request, an email is sent to the other party, they either accept or deny the request. Then the exchange is made by placing each others link code on each site.

It's always better to get one way links from other sites. I know it's not so easy. Getting a quality links from your niche site is quite hard to achieve. But it's better to go for 3 way link exchange instead reciprocal linking. Google does not give much importance to reciprocal linkking.

Just be careful on link farms and don't overuse link exchange.

Link exchange is one of the best way to get backlinks but don't overdo this ans yhis could also harm your site.

I think it still works. But the most important thing is the quality, not the quantity.

I haven't tried yet on link exchange. Want to give it try as it seems beneficial.
