The name "Google" originated from a misspelling of the word "googol",[13][14] which refers to 10100, the number represented by a 1 followed by one hundred zeros. Having found its way increasingly into everyday language, the verb "google" was added to the Merriam Webster Collegiate Dictionary and the Oxford English Dictionary in 2006, meaning "to use the Google search engine to obtain information on the Internet."[15][16]

Ya google is the mathematical term which has 1 followed by hundred zeros.Thus is termed for to immense amount of infomation to be searched.

Whoever thought that a misspelling word that doesn't really make sense will become one of the most recognizable words today? Whoever thought that "search it online" is now "Google it"?

Google is a variation of "googol," the mathematical term for a 1 followed by 100 zeros.
As Google itself notes, there isn't a googol of anything in the universe.

Thanks man for this excellent answer,I had interest in getting the answer but had not found anywhere.
