How do i find out if my site has been indexed by Google

Can anybody help i have submitted my site www.howards1.co.uk to google 3-4 times in the last year and most recenty 3 weeks ago it is still not appearing in Google search results how do i know if it has been indexed?

if you type site:www.yoursite.com into the google search box, it will show all of the pages from your site in google's index. Best way to get your site indexed by google is to not submit your site to them. Better to exchange links with sites already in google's index. Your site will be found when googlebot crawls the pages your site is listed on.

Some people say it is a really bad idea to submit your site. I don't know if this is true, but the best way is to just exchange links...your site will be found soon.

Yes, no need to submit your site at Google at all.
Let its spiders search/crawls your site from the link of other indexed sites. For that you will have to earn backlinks from different sites, linking sites should be relevant to your’s also should be having high PR, this will help you for faster indexing.

You need content on your website. Google can not find anything on your site because there is nothing to see.
Check your site with http://www.submitexpress.com/analyzer/
After this google will find you and you will be listet.

Agreed or just type in your domain and search if your listing comes up then you are in it!

I have gone through your site and I m surprised. It is very sad to say, you don’t have a single backlink,
this is the main reason your site is not appearing in Google.
First try to get as many relevant high PR backlinks to your site,
No matter how many times you submit your site at google, it will appear only if you have good number of backlinks and have quality contents which is updated regularly.

i dont know the reason, but google automatically crawls ur site and i have seen when i created my forum and after some days i was modifying it i just took a look at who's online and i saw three guests and they were google crawls seriously, i havent submited my site to google and one more thing google is fond of forums
