Increasing Google PR with Bathroom articles

We have just had our first www.google.co.uk pr update on our 6 months old site; we have managed to gain a pr of 3.

Our new Bathroom on line shop should be live in 4-5 weeks and I would like some help on trying to increase our pr for the next update.

I have heard that writing articles can help to increase your Google pr.

Does anyone know how and where we should be submitting articles to?

Does anyone know good and cost effective article writers or help on writing them?

Or any other help in relation to increasing our pr for the next Google update.

Submitting articles will improve your site's link popularity. Which is good.

High Google page rank is determined by the quality votes (inbound links) to your site. My experience is, if one can get just a few PR5 inbound links, his/her website's PR will improve greatly.

Writing articles will help your page rank. It gives you a one way link, which is better than a reciprocal link. It gets your site noticed by people searching for information. It makes you look like an expert in your field.

Having your link in each post is helpful, but I think Google looks at all posts as a group, not each individual post as one link, because its coming from the same IP.

You can type in article submission directories in Google to find some free directories to submit to. Vistadivine.com has a list of article directories...

I've submitted to ezine articles, articledashboard, and some others that I can't recall right now...but there are a bunch of them.
