If all the sites have same content then visitors will feel your site as just copy-paste site and will not get attracted also same is the case with search spiders... specially Google, it love to have unique and fresh content.

Your site wouldn't rank well if you have duplicate content
Try to have unique content for each sites also update them regularly...

That is well known trick and search engines, especially very picky Google, don't like different domains with the same content.
You could even ask yourself, would you like, as the internet visitor, to look through the bunch of identical websites that you find from the search outputs, in order to get information you are searching for? I don't think so.
The whole internet is created for the benefits of visitors, but not webmasters who want to increase their website popularity. So, get into the shoes of Search Engines that want to increase their own popularity among their users.

If you have 3 different domains, I would suggest to use 3 different contents.

i don't think msn will have a problem. google prolly will.

It also depends on how you promote it.

I have a website with many different categories of products, I have the main website name, I also have many other domains parked on it.

I promote the main store name and just forget about the other names and rely on people typing the address in as an address to find this certain products.

For example my main url is www.mflshop.co.uk, parked on top of that is the name of some products I sell, so for example the parked domain could be (Its not btw) www.cheesestraws.co.uk so people looking for cheese straws may type in as an address to see if there is a company who specialise in cheese straws.

Google do not penalise you for having duplicate content, well they don't penalise me for having duplicate content, it will just be hidden in the listing and you don't really want to have hidden search results.

That's very interesting, "Google do not penalise you for having duplicate content", but "the results will just be hidden in the listing". Doesn't it mean penalized?

As I know, duplicated sites may be banned.

Even your sites targeting the same topic, they should come in different face. For no one, even most search engines didn't like it. They might work on few weeks or months but will surely end up banned or penalized and doesn't work in the long run.

Not suggested at all. Google may penalized for this. Don't take a chance. And doing this won't help you at all in any way.
