How often to send sitemaps to google?

i have uploaded my google sitemap about 6 months ago, should i create a new one? also does anyone know where i can get a free sitenap generator
for yahoo? i ould like to creat one for yahoo.

Yes, you should create a new sitemap for Google. You can send a list of url to Yahoo.

I create a new sitemap everytime i make changes to my site. Especially if you add pages or links to it. I probably submit about 3 new sitemaps to google a week. There are many xml sitemap generators that are free, and a few others that are not free. You shouldnt have trouble finding one. If I post a link to one here, it might get removed so not gonna bother.

Thats the site generator I use anx', it works well, I use the paid for one for my main site because it has 2 many pages for the free one and it sends the sitemap to google weekly (when I have scheduled it for) or when I request.
I use the free one for my smaller sites.

The site says it will only index 500 pages. what if we got more than 500 pages.

Pay them $9.99 and they will do unlimited pages.
