I was just wondering if higher Alexa rating and high traffic will effect the Google PR as well as the Google search results.

I see a lot of overseas companies are selling click traffic to increase traffic to a site so I was wondering if it will actually improve SERP

Alexa not effect PR. if you SEO good = your Traffic Good and ranking your web or blog also good

Alexa ranking is no way related to Google PageRank. Backlinks and website age mainly determines pagerank. While, alexa rank is based upon the traffic.
Even low traffic (low alexa) ranking websites has good pagerank.

Alexa Traffic rank is unreliable. This is not a good traffic reference. I prefer Google Analytics for monitoring site traffic. It is more accurate and complete.

If you have a good PR, then it has a big chance to improve your alexa. So keep on optimizing your website in SEO purposes.

Alexa won't affect PR. It's just a statistic of your site's traffic.

Well, I think alexa has nothing to do with PR.

I don't think google uses Alexa's data.

Alexa is not a search engine , use it as a tool which tells you about your site rank over all around the glob. Its has no effect on Google.

Only backlinks help TO geeting google page rank
