After you have done what westernsoftware10 said, take those keywords and write a few articles around each individual keyword. create a link wheel for each keyword using web 2.0 properties. by web 2.0 i mean use squidoo lenses, hubpages, wetpaint etc., you can google for more info, link all together connecting back to your main page.

Yes, it's time consuming but your site will gain authority and it will be worth it in the long run.

Better stop that practice of dropping links, if you are new to SEO, read those guidelines and include the top results from this list: http://www.google.com/search?q=seo+ethics

1) research for the related and popular keyword which represents your brand
2) also see the competitors websites so that you will come to know about their keywords and content
3) Target two to three keywords per page of content
4) Target several long-tail keywords in your content so that many short tail keywords will automatically get power of that.
5) Develop meta tags and description based on keywords
6) Put targets keywords in both the headlines and body of your content

Anchor tags are important so give appropriate link to them.
Quality of website is depend on "on-page" seo.
