Is hosting company important for Google to rank results?
I mean is it true that sites which are hosted on some hosting companies can be rank higher than others in Google?

Google don't prefer any hosting company, but they penalize or dislikes those who are abusive IP's of sites hosted in some companies, especially in shared IP hosting like class C IPs.

hey guys,
The site went live about 4 months ago with great results. However, The site's shared IP was recently added to a DNS Blacklist online. The blacklist it was added to was a SORBS list. Would having the Shared IP address in the DNS blacklist hurt his ranking in google?

My customer is working with an SEO company that swears this is affecting his ranking. I have not been able to find any information to prove or disprove this theory. Secondly, They believe that switching web hosting will cure this problem.

Can anyone give me any advice on this topic?
