Any site in any size could get good PageRank, it's the importance of your site that is being ranked, specifically your contents, backlinks and many more..

The website size is not important for high pr, website content is important, and also friendly exchange with high pr website.

Larger Websites seem to do better, however your site structure must be designed with lots of interlinking of the pages. The more pages you have, the more linking you can do between them. No page should be more than 3-4 clicks from your home page (the page that will most likely have the highest page rank.
If you have a smaller site and want a higher page rank, you will need many, many links into the site.

Not only content matters for high PR but quality backlinks also matters. i.e. facebook and google these site doesn't have any content on their home page but also both are PR 10 website.

The size of the website matters in terms of page loading. When the size of your page is smaller your the speed of your page load will be reduced.

Size of site doesn't affect PageRank but the amount of PageRank flowing in to the internal pages is highly dependent on the size, levels of hierarchy and architecture.

No, size is irrelevant when it comes to page rank. However, you still need to consider that one on your site design, as the size can have an effect on the loading time of your pages.

size is important only in the sense if you slow down page loading. download speed is a parameter that Google takes into account when calculating PR

It does not matter but it is desirable that site has more pages...
Sites under 100 pages is considered small sites...
I would agree that Google or Facebook without content.
Their front pages are simple forms but they are linked to thousands of pages of internal ...
In the end, I do not know of any example of site with high PR (8-9-10) and there are only a few pages, unless site of some state institutions, which by nature is a source which should be trusted ...
That means the more is the better...
