Tell me the standard number of characters in the URL ?

there is no standard number in URL, unless you can create URL that is easy to remember, not look spammy and can be your brand later on.

:) "watchedonlined" is right, there is no hard and fast rule regarding character limit in urls, but if you want it to stick to your reader's memory, then go for one that is shorter and meaningful

There is no standard character in URL. But is should be catchy and easy to remember. It should include keyword also.

Google didn't give limits on number of characters for URL, just make sure your URL is clear and could easily understand by bots and visitors like rewriting dynamic urls into static one.

My site is 2 years old and want some changes in its URL. Is it possible to redirect your URL? does it effects SEO.
