Good ranking site with little backlinks

Hi can anyone let me know why for donation boxes on google uk the number one site ranks so well with almost zero backlinks and not a particularly large site?

It depends on the query and the closeness match of the site contents that makes a site, irregardless of how big it is, how high/low it's PR or how helpful the content they have, as long as they meet Google Algorithm, they will rannk.

If your site has unique and useful content than definitely it is possible. But content should be significant.

Obviously content is king , dont go for huge number of backlinks. create backlinks on reputed and related websites.

My site is 2 years old and want some changes in its URL. Is it possible to redirect your URL? does it effects SEO.

may be useful and unique contents. Also less competitors for the term.
