Just continue on the normal way of submission. Make a strategic approach on how to get backlinks like article submission, social bookmarking, blogging and etc. You must also not exceed 50 links per day to assure that google will not suspect you as spam.

It's very much analytics job were you have to do lot of introspection on keywords as well as the ranking is one of the main criteria. It has to be steady and rotating action which you have to follow during activity other wise you get spam in googles principle. better look for keywords and the activity which may generate the the traffic as well as ranking.
