One good way, you have to make as quality, as unique and as interesting article you could make that nobody else been written or discussed around.

There are so many ways to get quality backlinks.
Submit Guest Post to Other Blogs.
Do comments on dofollow blogs.
Start and reply relevant threads in forums and put link of you site/blog.
Add home page link of you site/blog in your forums signatures.
Do Social bookmarking for your site/blog.(some social bookmarkings are provides dofollow link)
Do Article Submission, Ezinearticles.com is very great for quality back links, Hubpage.com is give dofollow link if your hubscore is above 75.
And many more ways...

one way that may help you is blog comments... commenting and putting links on the blogs that are niche to your website, and put comments that are related to the topic...

First analyze competition for your keywords and choose appropriate one and check your content considering onpage optimization factors.. and then do article submission on quality sites like ezine, amazine etc. do forum commenting and poasting on sites like digital point etc and do as many directory submission and bookmarking as you can like digg...
