Does anyone have any idea how the Google Keyword Tool collects data for its search statistics? Does it count searches conducted by robots? Some of the results seem very off.

I have no idea about Google Keyword tool..do you mean Google Adword Tool here???

It depends on how many people search a certain keyword for the site in a monthly and/or local searches.

Google keyword tool is excellent.In that we can check relevance to keyword local searches,monthly searches,CPC,Related keywords and more

Nobody knows how Google keyword tool collects data for keyword tool. Its an automated process to collect the data. I think it may be collecting data from the search query entered in to the search box of Google.

I think it does count searches done by robots and include it in the data. The keyword tool is indeed quite useful for research, but you will likely find a few shortcomings in it.

This tool is good you can calculate estimated search 5 percent out of the local and monthly searches

Google itself has it's own software to collect them but of course that are so many manners of how people search so they can only show estimated values..

Actually Google Keyword Tool collects data from their own database. That'll only a portion of the users all over the world.

Google Keyword tool is very good. Its really helpful for seo guy to get right and good search volume keywords for the sites.
