How a web page design makes heavy a web page?
I mean which things of a design you consider play very important role to make it heavy so it takes more time to browse/load?

Always check the size of webpage, page content should be in limit, implement paging, avoid unnecessary flash and images, remove unwanted javascript and css includes etc...
Table based layouts are an outdated and ineffective practice for web design

It is usually due to too many codes and heavy images. Convert images into lighter version like jpg, png, gif while not so important codes like flash, javascript or some design codes can put to CSS and just call on the body of the source code when needed.
