Hi, I've just joined this forum and its looking very interesting. I've noticed that a few websites are now using youtube. Some are using youtubes media players and some are not. Youtubes media players show similar videos after your video has finished, while some other media players don't. As some websites seem to be getting a highly placed link from youtube, is it adviserable you use the youtube player just for the youtube link that should come into my website? Google seems to place this link very highly.

Some people call it video marketing. Through websites like youtube, Internet marketers try to use videos to promote their websites so that people who don't want to read only need to watch their market and products on the web.

Using it doesn't guarantee high rankings for sites, but if it is very much useful for your visitors, it's a good idea..

Yah, its nice concept to promote your website. I also use videos to promote my site. For ex: I have one site named as RPSJewellers, create 3 videos on this site and submit on various videos submission site. Video url is like that : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z0DdpCmB7nc

I also agree that there are many benefits to using YouTube marketing. Not only one can share their videos on YouTube for marketing, one can also embed it on their site. YouTube video advertising is one of the fastest, most effective ways to garner online attention.

Google can't read the content in the Yourtube videos. So it can't index. To index the youtube content, you have to do a Audio Transcription or Video Transcription. Then upload the transcribed content to your website.
