Google +1 have impact as now google is ranking a website on the basis of social media involement. Means a numbers of people like a website then google will give this website extra support to rank well on google natural listing...

G+1 surely has bots to check and probably help index site but it should not be abused or negative effects may occur.

Actually with the latest algo Google bot is indexing such places quickly that people are sharing through social media. It indicates Google priorities something that people think informative and helpful for them. Such thing indicates social media has a great impact on Google.

Social media, especially Google +1, is the new wave of 'backlinks'. Social noise is the way to go.
