My page rank dropped in the last few days from a 3 to a 2...some of my interior pages acutally have a grayed our bar where the page rank is...should I be worried? Are those pages banned? They are still listed in Googles Cache...

i think you have violated the policy specifed by google or you are using too many tatics in order to get ranking quickly. please check back everything and be natural with content then wait for a new update

i heard there are sites dropped their PR as well as their SERPs, did you noticed that on you site?

use the site:www.yourdomain.com command to check if you're banned or not.

You can use a tool from iwebtool to check whether you are banned or nor : http://www.iwebtool.com/google_banned

Well, it appears, fromthe iweb tool, that I am not banned in Google...but the gray bar is not only on my site...I've been seeing it everywhere over the last 24 hrs...on many other sites.

May be its due to update...

That's probably what's happened...my wordpress blog also had a grayed out bar...it has to be something weird with Google. Hopefully it rights itself soon.

Try check Google PR more times,then maybe you will have your own opinion.

Sometime PR on google toolbar show incorrecttly because you computer can't communicate with Google servers properly.

I've checked for curiosity purpouse some sites that considered to be pretty stable. Practically all of them lost their PR, some of them 1 point, some of them 2 points. My site was not exception. I even checked www.submitexpress.com, they recently had PR7, now they are PR6.
So, definitelly something is going on with Google. Hope they will stabilize their algorythm and PR will raise.

Sorry to hear that, but at least you are smart enough to recognize the issue and react to it. After looking at your site, you might be dealing with duplicate content, and the Google filters. Since many of your products are similar (various types of pillows), that may just be the problem. Also, if the title tags are similar (Large Pillow A, Small Pillow A, etc.), that could be the issue.

sometimes the toolbar gets a little crazy...it's not always reliable..

I also think there's smth going on with google - some pages of my sites are also with grey toolbar, as well as many other sites. However, I think the PR-update has finished now, because all data centers show the same PR...which is bad for me due to my rankings decreased..excluding a new swiss site, which got pr3 just about a month after i made it and ranks well. Very bad google...

Anyway maybe there still will be some changes to the algo, cos see what it shows for: "Your page with the highest PageRank
Apr: Data is not available at this time." !!!

Now it is 7th, and this info is usually published in time...

I think it is natural to find your PR decreased from 3 to 2. If you are banned by google, your PR bar should be 0.
