Hey thanks guruananth, I've been trying to figure out how to submit to Lycos as well. I'll have to look into this a little more, I'm sure after a while your site gets picked up by Lycos anyway.

I don't understand why would you want to submit to Lycos wherein you can get indexed on them even if you don't submit.

The operative word here is
can.
Can be indexed is not as sure a thing as
will be indexed.
With a minor site I would not care. But lycos is good enough to want to have a better chance of being indexed by submitting to them.

As i see, i can find my website through that resource. Does it use its own base or any other base? I don't seem to be crawled by this one...

do not submit your site to any of search engines just let them found your site , Because i foyu are going to submit your Site to SE's then its depend on them when they gonna crawl your Site or when they gonna index your site on them , and it will take some time , so don't do that

Submitting your site to Lycos is not really needed. Robots will crawl it eventually.

Just remove obstacle from your web pages that prevent crawlers from indexing your sites. It will be indexed faster than if when you submit it to search engine.
