Are you working on getting your page rank up? Many of the people here will not submit to directories that do not have a page rank. What do you see as the potential for your directory. It looks good, but doesnt have the stats for quality sites to submit to.

I think a shopping category would be good. A lot of the top directories have this one in it. It would bring a lot of new links to your site because many sites are online shopping sites. Its just a suggestion

You are going to do a tv commercial for a web directory!! That seems a little overboard. You might want to use that money and put it to other advertising media forms. But its just a suggestion!
my hubby is Marketing directory for the tv stations :-)

My Hubby can get great advertising prices as he is marketing director for the tv stations. we are looking into other venue's aswell
