About directory submission.

I recently read some posts on the SEO forums and was surprised to know that many people do not get any results from directory submission. Someone even wrote on the forum that they had submitted their website on a high pr directory site almost a year back and were still looking for a proper result from that. This is not a very good impression for the SERP. So can anyone guide me how to get the directory submission to work for me? What else should I know before I begin work on this process? Please any suggestions are welcome.

Most directories take a long time before approving submissions that's why most site owners cannot immediately see the results of directory submissions. Also, some directories have no follow attribute, so if you want a backlink make sure that you're submitting to a do follow directory

As long as Search engines recognize the worth of directory submission, it will still be a part of SEO.

Hi friends,

Tell us if you have submitted in free directory or not, as we all know free directories take some time to approve and and concentrate on manual submission, automatic submission or submitting using software is wrong method of SEO.

One of the best tools for site growth is age, and nothing you can do will make up for that, unless you have or buy an aged domain. What you can do is run fresh content and build your authority base via a long-term longevity plan. Starting a blog would be a good start, and, of course, giving out free information to your visitors would be a part of that. What is good for the visitors is also good for SEO; think first of the people who will visit your site and second about the promotional SEO aspect.

Thanks and regards,
- Smith Jones.

Some said that submitting your site to too many directories will have bad effects on your website. But I don't really believe this because as I read the webmaster guidelines, I have not read anything insisting that using too many directories will cause bad effects on your site.

But let's put this thing right here: As I've said a while ago, I do not believe in bad effects of using too many directories, but I am not saying that it is good. Not all things that will not cause bad effects are good.
