How to become an editor of DMOZ?

I'm really interested in do something there, not just for the purpose of promoting website. But I always get declined. Anybody has joined them successfully? What kind of requirements are needed.

try to find a category you are interested in (better with less than 100 urls which adds your chance), and click "become an editor".
There will be guidelines to help you step by step.

May have to wait a long time to google crawl your pages,
and pages you have to submit to a quality backlink is created to be fast, efficient, and durable.

a that happen to me I keep on submiting my site to dmoz and I cant see my site in there.
