Thanks. Of course, I typically only send to about 5-10, I'm still not sure if it's worth sending to more, Everybody has a different opinion.

I think it's good to submit your unique content into such useful 50 article directories rather than submitting in bulk and useless article directories. This is good resource to put in use.

that is very helpful. Are there any article directories where word count per article is not mandatory.

I don't remember seeing many instant approval directories. It would leave the door open for spammers.
