How many links should i build each week?

I am new to this whole back-linking stuff and am looking for some advice as to how many back-links i should build each week without it destroying my Google page rank straight away. Also if any one has any suggestions of where to build them.

I would say that it does not depend on numbers. There is no numerical value one can give on building handy links for the site.
You can build backlinks as many as you can but make sure that they must come from your niche and relevant sites. They can be very benefical in order to improve your visibility in search engine.

If your website is new then you can create 200-300 active backlinks in a week or if it is an old website then you should never go with the quantity but the quality.

This really depends on your industry, website type, website traffic, branding and current SEO/link structure. There's no one number that anybody should follow. Each website has different rates on which it publishes content and thus gains links.

its can not be define by number of links.but it should be regular, natural and quality creation of links.

I agree with the Jacob's opinion on building quality backlinks because there is no specific count of backlinks but try to build as many backlinks as possible but should be quality and natural backlinks.

There is no specific limit of building backlinks in a week for our site but we can increase numerous backlinks using automation tools like SENuke,Article Kevo etc. which definitely helps to improve our site ranking in rapid manner.

As many as numbers of back links you can create that will be beneficial for your website, just make it sure that those links should be spamfree.
