Link building is often defined as practice of getting links from other sites to your own site.
Search Engines give more importance to websites that have more inbound links and therefore rank those sites higher in their search results.
From past many years webmasters have actively involved in various link building activities to get top rankings in search engines.

Link building has very important role in SEO. But many SEO are not much concentrating on Link building .. many other methods they are playing why bcz many site which are in top of SERP having little BL and also many EXP SEO's sites having less BL...

Link building is a great technique for gaining inbound links from quality sites which have good pagerank.

getting quality backlinks are good for the site...it may increase PR and traffic..... :p

There's a lot of people here saying this kind of information about basic terms and methods which is... this is a SE forum and people probably already knows about them. Maybe there should be a place for this or something (or probably this is already here in submitexpress).

I think it'll be the best if you have enough time to do commenting... in my case, i do not have enough time to do so.
