design site on php or wordpress

Hello! I am planning to start an e-commerce site for selling an electronic item but not able to decide on which platform I supposed to make a site. Wheather should I go with WordPress platform or build a site on core PHP? So kindly suggest and I also would like to tell you that I want to make a site like https://www.bthawk.com/. It's not an eCommerce but like the design and its made on wordpress.
