Facebook views....

Post by jamezacer »

Facebook straight to the point - i have been reading about how easy it is to steal peoples identity on facebook i thought i would point a few factors out

1 - your date of birth is in plain view
2 - first and last name is in view
3 - how many childen you have and names of them
4 - mothers name which would be your maiden name
5 - which school you went to

Ok so am i being paranoid here...

why bother being "scared" if you're not posting the real info of yourself. it's the internet, anything naughty seems to be possible with this tool nowadays.

I think Facebook should exert more effort in improving their security and privacy settings. Their spam filter kinda sucks!

No, Facebook links are nofollow, but they can boost your site traffic. Links from popular Facebook groups are effective sources of added traffic.

Yeah. I think it's all in the settings of your FB/Facebook account if who can see your private details. :D :)

It's to bad that it's nofollow.. almost all big sites similar to facebook are nofollow. :( For traffic it's good... but won't get you any better positions.

The answer to the problem is change your setting or simple don't enter your real information. Lots of people are doing this. :)
