Alexa question

I have a shopping site that gets 12,000 hits daily with regular conversions; the link popularity sits around 4400 yet my Alex rank is still over a million. Is it because there are so many similar sites or is something else at stake? I am not using Adsense on that site but I am using AdWords.

I know a site with 20k uniques and 20k Alexa and one with 80k uniques and 60k Alexa. It all depends on whether your audience/readers have the Alexa toolbar installed.

I never use Alexa but Stat counter shows the real Traffic Volume.

alexa alwasy using different alogirthm from the Google.
You just follow the alexa guides in google
