Yeah not accurate but gives good general traffic statistics about a site, still usable.

Alexa is not important in these days. high ranking in serp is the main factor that you can get high traffic.

Alexa rankings can be manipulated outside the top 100 000.

alexa is not accurate and not that important. your site wouldn't be harmed if your getting a lower ranking

All of the tools for SEO is not that accurate including Alexa but you can treat Alexa as your guide. I'm not encouraging you to stop using Alexa, it may help you on many things like if your rankings on Alexa dropped down, it will be your go signal to work hard and double up your task.

i seen one issue with alexa about two of sites. The site with more traffic has less alexa ranking then the site which have few visitors.

To make the long story short.. Just use Alexa as a guide but don't rely on it totally.
