yup, no follow links are still links... They can also give you direct traffic to your site

Yes no follow is a good link also because you can get direct traffic.

Any chance you get at getting a backlink i say take it no matter if it's no follow or not.

Links, whether nofollow or dofollow, can still generate traffic to your site. Don't underestimate what nofollow links can do for your site. They're still beneficial.

Yeah, dofollow commenting is effective in get backlinks.
