Facebook recieving highest clicks over Google

Hello,

Recently. Facebook surpassed Google and reached to new milestone on March 14, 2010. Google is highest visited site but Facebook break the record with highest clicks in US. Most clicks Facebook received is on the most famous holidays such like Xmas Eve, New Year Day, etc. With this figures its now confirmed how much social networking getting popularity.

I think we can't compare Google and Facebook as they are different things and their aims are various. I can only be happy about Facebook and it's popularity.

I agree they're too different things however I'm not a happy facebook user and not happy with it's popularity. It's ability to enslave people to mind numbing 3rd party apps like farmland and mafia wars is worse than the minesweeper and solitaire epidemic that came about with windows 3.1 and windows 95.

I believe Google handles around 400 million searches per day and wonder how FaceBook close with this figure..

Yes, FB can't be compared in Google. If facebook have a huge traffics, it was the same with Google especially when the clicks in Facebook was came from the Google.

If you look at it from Business Point of view, i dont think anybody can beat google. Facebook has surpassed the number of clicks but has it crossed the amount of profit google generates for your business is the question to be asked. Number of clicks may depict the popularity but when it comes to generating money, google still and will always rank high enough.

First there is a big difference between the two a social networking site and a search engine. Facebook was phenomenon that just exploded and attract millions of user but Google is different in other way around it serves as Search Engine in which people use to search for something on the web.
