Is Yahoo traffic better than Google traffic?

I have been receiving a number of hits on my sites recently from Yahoo and have noticed a large conversion percentage, so I did some musing as to why Yahoo traffic might convert better;

1 - Google is the search engine for the masses so everyone uses it and the majority of your hits will just be "surfers", looking for something interesting and staying on sites for 0-5 seconds

2 - Yahoo users are probably a bit more descerning Internet users and are more likely to be looking for what they find and consequently stay on the site for longer, and may well convert

3 - Yahoo users may be of a breed who have become disheartened by all the rubbish that Google tries to force on users and are after a search engine that just gives results, so they use Yahoo to find your site and are serious about what they click on

maybe because you are building links in yahoo and it might the reason why you have more traffic in yahoo than google...

^ yeah madness is right.. You're just optimizing your website in Yahoo that's why your getting a good traffic with it.

We optimize for Google and take what we can from the rest.

Though there have been times we've seen slightly better conversion rates in Yahoo CPC compared to Google CPC.

If you try to change few things & see if you rank lil bit on Google. If you're making 100 a day with Y!, it can reach 300 easily with Google's traffic.

I think yahoo traffic is better than google
now days all users have started using yahoo search to get the relevant information, for the related topics.so in order to create more traffic in yahoo,it should have many links or by building links the site appears to be traffic. google has been used by many people..but still yahoo is also competing with google in order to increase the traffic

No! maybe it's just a coincidence or so whatever Google is still the best provider of user traffics. Maybe you do a lot of SEO on yahoo thats why you get traffic from them.

I will not say that the traffic is better, maybe more targeted, or more specific. Lately I have had some strange and disappointing experiences with Google.

I will go to yahoo the traffic may be more at Google Due to a larger share of 'searching' community, Google has been targeted by bloggers by planting Google Bombs.
As a seach engine, Google has the best relevance and presents the results in a way that I find easy to decide what pages are best for me. Its the best in terms of researching information.

For making money, a #1 on Google is worth many times more than a #1 on yahoo. Yahoo! blocks the top of the SERPs with sponsored ads.

but Yahoo is doing pretty good research in Search Technologies, for example Grokker.

If you did not knew, yahoo search is powered by Bing.

Yahoo is also a big search engine and if we get so much hits than it is good for us....This means we are achieving what we are aiming for...

There are webmasters that targeting Yahoo traffic. Because even Google has far superior in serving searches, Yahoo still have millions of searchers. With vast Google competition, I would love to have those traffic from Yahoo.
