yeah its true google update your website pr 3 to 4 time in year but its depend on your website updation and cache rate and also traffic rate how much visitor getting your site per day or per month or per week these all factor can increase page rank

Google has recently update the Page Rank.

Doesn't matter anyway, page rank is overrated and doesn't mean much. My website is PR 1 yet I have top rankings on Google and get more business than some site with PR 4 with bad SERPS
